TLS (Transport Layer Security)/SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Support allows VisNetic MailServer to pass email messages in an encrypted format between servers and clients. All email protocols (including SMTP, POP3, IMAP, ETRN, ATRN, etc...), by default, will attempt to send or receive messages using a TLS connection.

 

VisNetic MailServer can connect to any ODBC compliant database (e.g. SQL, MySQL, Access). This simplifies setup of user accounts, mailing lists, etc., as existing lists can be imported into VisNetic MailServer.

 

VisNetic MailServer will recognize and utilize multiple processors installed on the server computer. This translates to optimum performance under heavy loads allowing VisNetic MailServer to process email faster and more reliably than its competitors.

 

VisNetic AntiVirus Plug-in for VisNetic MailServer is powered by world-renowned antivirus developer, Kaspersky Labs. This antivirus software offers incredible network protection and unsurpassed ability to detect, detain and delete infected email.

 

VisNetic MailServer supports remote administration options for mail administrators. The Remote GUI is a user-interface that interacts with MailServer over SSL sockets while providing a familiar interface to enact changes and updates to VisNetic MailServer from a computer other than the server itself. The Web Administration utility gives an administrator complete control of the mail server through a secure, browser connection.

 

Administrators can configure VisNetic MailServer to automatically backup critical system information, such as user account data, server configurations, and license data, and will store the backup file separate from the mail server. Should anything happen to VisNetic MailServer or the computer it is running on, restoration is made easier with the backup file, safely stored elsewhere. It is also possible to run a manual backup at any time.
