AntiVirus Basic Configuration

Introduction

Configuring AntiVirus involves enabling the scanner and deciding what to do with the virus-infected files.

Requirements

Decide what to do with the virus-infected files. The options are:

• Delete the infected attachment.
• Quarantine the infected attachment to specified folder.
• Clean the infected attachment. Un-cleanable attachments get deleted.
• Delete the entire message.
• Quarantine the entire message to specified folder.
• Do nothing and let content filtering handle the problem.

How To

To configure AntiVirus:

1. Use the AntiVirus settings... command from the Setup menu. This displays the AntiVirus tab of the Content Filter dialog.
2. Activate the Enable AntiVirus scanner check box.
3. Select a scanner action.
4. Activate the check box to add a warning to the top of infected messages.
5. Use the OK command button to save the settings and exit from the dialog.
