AntiVirus protects your email server and user accounts against viruses. It is available as a download from http://www.xasp.co.uk/saltn

• TCP/IP connection

Hardware and Software

Recommended specifications are:

• Pentium II 450 MHz or higher processor
• 256 MB of memory (512 MB recommended)
• Microsoft Windows 95OSR2/98/ME/XP/NT/2000
• TCP/IP network
• Hard disk space: 30MB.
• Internet or Intranet communication capabilities

How To

To install AntiVirus:

1. Download the latest version of AntiVirus from http://www.xasp.co.uk/saltn
   Note: Keep track of the folder where you download the installer.
2. Navigate to the downloaded installer and open it to display the installation wizard.
3. Read the dialog and use the Next command button.
4. If you agree with the license agreement, click on the I Agree command button.
5. Select the installation directory and use the Next command button.
6. Use the Next command button to install the software. This takes about 30 seconds on a slow machine. When the installation is complete, the installer displays the Finish dialog.
7. Activate any check boxes you want for AntiVirus then use the Finish command button to exit from the installer. Assuming you asked for MDaemon to be restarted using AntiVirus, the software downloads the latest virus definitions.
8. To verify the installation, open the MDaemon application window by clicking on the icon in the Windows system tray.
9. Click on the Stats tab and scroll in the stats listing to the AntiVirus entry. It should read active. If it is not active, you can activate it by right-clicking on the entry and selecting Toggle Active/Inactive. If it will not activate -- this almost never happens -- then re-install AntiVirus.
