MDaemon GroupWare Enabler Installation

Introduction

MDaemon GroupWare Enabler is a server-side installer for MDaemon Pro 6.7 and higher.

MDaemon GroupWare is available as a download from http://www.xasp.co.uk/saltn This stand-alone installer enables MDaemon 6.7 or higher to run MDaemon GroupWare.

These are server-side instructions for the email administrator.

Note:

Client-side configuration uses the MDaemon GroupWare Plugin.

Requirements

MDamon GroupWare Enabler requires MDaemon Pro 6.7 or higher as a server.

How To

To install the MDaemon GroupWare Enabler:

1. Download the latest version of MDaemon GroupWare Enabler from
   http://www.xasp.co.uk/saltn
   Note: Keep track of the folder where you download the installer.
2. Navigate to the downloaded installer and open it to display the installation wizard.
3. Read the first panel and use the Next command button.
4. If you agree with the license agreement, click on the I Agree command button.
5. Use the Next command button to install the software.
6. Activate any check boxes you want for MDaemon GroupWare Enabler, then use the Finish command button to exit from the installer. The installer now restarts MDaemon with GroupWare running.
7. To verify the installation, open the administration application window by clicking on the icon in the Windows tray.
8. Click on the Stats tab and scroll to the GroupWare entry. Right click on the entry and use the Toggle Active/Inactive command. GroupWare should become active.

   Note:

   Activating GroupWare requires the enabling of IMAP folder sharing. MDaemon displays a dialog concerning this when you activate GroupWare if sharing is not already enabled.
