Spam Blocking-Exempt an Email
Server from Black List Processing

This howto describes black listing for the AntiSpam Spam Blocker. The AntiSpam Spam
Filter also uses black listing of a different type. |
There may be servers you want to let in, despite their being on a black list.
Requirements
You need to know the IP address of the server or the IP address range of a group of servers you want to
exempt.
How To
To do this:
- Use the Spam blocker command from the Security menu. This displays the Spam Blocker
dialog.
- Select the Spam Blocker Engine tab.
- Use the Exceptions command button near the bottom of the dialog. this displays the Spam
Blocker Exemptions dialog.
- Type the IP address in the IP Address text box.
This can be a single address or use wild cards to exempt a range. Example includes:
192.*.*.*
192.168.1.104
It is a good idea to exempt your email server to reduce the amount of processing.
- Use the Add command button. This displays the address in the list of exempted IPs.
(To remove an item from the list, select it and use the Remove command button.)
- Use the OK command button to return to the Spam Blocker dialog.
- Use the OK command button to complete the process.
