Anti-Virus Protection
MailScan for MDaemon scans and cleans all viruses and worms on every component (e.g. HTML/attachments, S/Mime) in your Email message. It also provides the utility to delete known malicious attachments like HAPPY99.EXE and EXPLOREZIP right at the Gateway/MDaemon server level.

   Content Control
Content Control pinpoints defined content, including keywords and phrases, in the subject and body of Email messages. Once detained, these abnormalities may be deleted, quarantined for further review, or forwarded to an administrator.

   Rich Text Scanning
MailScan for MDaemon is one of the first anti-virus programs with the ability to detect and disinfect viruses traveling via TNEF attachments.
 
Rich Text is an Email format that is specific to Microsoft Outlook. MailScan for MDaemon secures your network's Email from all viruses traveling in this format.

   ZIP Compression/Decompression
For scanning purposes, MailScan automatically decompresses .Zip attachments at the server level. By Default, MailScan recompresses the attachments back into .Zip files after scanning is completed. MailScan can now be configured to leave the attachments unzipped.
 
Mail recipients can now view their mail with all .ZIP attachments "unzipped" when they reach the recipients inbox.
